\mathbb{ SOLUTION } :

Given :
Selling Price (S.P) of the ceiling fan = Rs. 1175
Discount = Rs. 75

\underline {To \: \: be \: \: found }
Discount % (rate of discount)

We know that,
Discount = M.P - S.P

=> 75 = M.P - 1175

=> 75 + 1175 = M.P

=> 1250 = M.P

\therefore Marked Price (M.P) of the ceiling fan = Rs. 1250

Now,
Discount % = \frac{Discount}{M.P} × 100

Discount % = \frac{75}{1250} × 100

Discount % = 6%

Hence,
the discount % of ceiling fan on its Marked Price (M.P) = 6%

HERE IS YOUR SOLUTION

Given :-

Selling Price (S.P) of the ceiling fan = Rs. 1175

Discount = Rs. 75

we have to find discount %

We know that

Discount = Market price(MP) - Selling price(SP)

=> 75 = M.P - 1175

=> 75 + 1175 = M.P

=> 1250 = M.P

HENCE,

Marked Price of the ceiling fan = Rs. 1250

Now,

Discount % = Discount/Mp × 100

Discount % = 75/1250×100=6%

Discount % = 6%

Hence,

The discount % of ceiling fan on its Marked Price = 6%

hope it helps you
