To Find:-

Solution:-

Let the rate of sales tax be x%.

Tax = 5200 - 5000 = 200 rupees

According to the question,

$\sf \implies \: \frac{x}{100} \times 5000 = 200 \\ \\ \sf \implies \: x \times 50 = 200 \\ \\ \sf \implies \: x = 4 \: \%$

Hence,

• The rate of sale tax is 4%.
