We know that SI = PRT/100

R = SI x 100/PT

1) P = 350
SI = 105
T = 6

R = 105 x 100/350 x 6 = 5
Hence Rate pa = 5%

2) P = 425
SI = 238
T = 8

R = 238 x 100/425 x 8 = 7
Hence Rate pa = 7%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

P=Rs.350

R=R% p.a

S.I=Rs.105

T=6 years

∵S.I=

100

PTR

⟹105=

100

350×6×R

⟹105=21R

⟹R=

21

105

⟹R=5

∴Rate=5% p.a.
