Given , A(-3,10) ; B(6,-8) ; P(-1,6)

------------------------------------------------------------

A(-3,10) P(-1,6) B(6,-8)

To find the ratio k:1

P(x,y) = ( kx2+x1/k+1 , ky2+y1/k+1 )

P(-1,6)= [k(6)+(-3)/k+1 , k(-8)+10/k+1]

P(-1,6)=(6k-3/k+1 , -8k+10/k+1)

-1=6k-3/k+1

-k-1=6k-3

3-1=6k+k

2= 7k

2/7=k

Therefore the ratio k:1 is 2:7
