Answer:

m1:m2 = 2:1

P( 11/3, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

A (3 -6)          B (5, 3)

P( x, 0)

( (m1y2 + m2y1)/ m1+m2) = 0

( m1 x 3 +m2 x -6) = 0

3m1 -6m2 = 0

3(m1 - 2 m2) = 0

m1 - 2 m2 = 0

m1 = 2m2

m1/m2 = 2/1

m1:m2 = 2:1

Therefore m1:m2 = 2:1

p(x, 0)   We want to find x

x = ((m1x2+m2x1)/m1+m2)

   = ( 1x5 + 2x3)/ (2+1)

   = ( 5+6)/3

   = 11/3

x= 11/3

Therefore P(x,0) = P( 11/3, 0)
