coordinate of point dividing the given line segment in the ration m:nis

2m + (-5n). 3m + 2n

2m - 5n. 3m + 2n

but the point will lie in y axis for which x = 0

so

(2m - 5n)/(m+n) = 0

2m - 5n = 0

2m = 5n

m:n = 5:2
