Answer:

let , ratio is k:1

by using section formulae,

-3=-2k-1/k+1......(1) .,. a=3k-4/k+1. (2)

from eq 1

-3k-3=-2k-1

k=-2/1. (externally)

so,the ratio is 2:1

Now,

put the value of k in eq 2

a=3×-2-4/-2+1

a=-6-4/-1

a=-10/-1

a=10
