Let the ratio be k:1
Hence m1=k, m2=1, x1=5, y1=−6, x2=−1,y2=−4, x=0, y=0
Using sections formula x=m1+m2m1x2+m2x1
⇒0=k+1−k+5
∴k=5
Again y=m1+m2m1y2+m2y1
