Let the ratio be P: 1.

By Section - Formula,

x = ( m1x2 + m2x1 ) / m1 + m2

For x - axis, coordinates = ( x, 0 )

x = [ P ( 5) + 1 ( 2) ] / ( P + 1 )

y = ( m1y2 + m2y1) / ( m1 + m2 )

0 = P( 6 ) - 3

6P = 3

P = 1/2

Ratio = 1: 2

Now, x = [ 1/2 ( 5 ) + 2 ] / ( 1/2 + 2 )

x = [ ( 5 + 4 ) /2] ÷ ( 3/2)

x = 9/3

x = 3

So, coordinates of x - axis = ( 3, 0)
