answer : 1 : 2 ratio.

let λ : 1 ratio in which x - axis divides the line segment joining the points (3, 3) and (6, -6)

using formula, y = (λy₂ + y₁)/(λ + 1)

here y₂ = -6 and y₁ = 3

on x-axis , y = 0

so, 0 = (λ × -6 + 3)/(λ + 1)

⇒0 = -6λ + 3

⇒λ = 1/2

hence x - axis divides the line segment joining the points (3,3) and (6, -6) is in 1 : 2 ratio.
