Find the ratio in which y-axis divides the
line segment joining the points A(5, -6) and
B(-1,-4). Also find the co-ordinates of the point
of division.​

(5k-5/k+1)= 0

k = 1

Therefore, x-axis divides it in the ratio 1:1.

= (-4(1)+1/1+1,5(1)-5/1+1)

= (-3/2, 0)
