Step-by-step explanation:

x1=5, y1 = -6 , x2 = -1 and y2 = -4, Px = 0

Py = ? m:n = ?

let the ratio be k:1 => m = k and n = 1

Px = (mx2 + nx1)/m + n

0 = (-1*k + 5*1)/k+1

=> -k + 5 = 0

therefore k = 5 = 5/1 hence m:n = 5:1

Py = (my2 + ny1)/m + n

Py = [5*(-4) + 1*(-6)]/5+1

=> Py = (-20 - 6)/6

=> Py = -26/6

=> Py = -13/3
