The slope of the line AB = (-4-6)÷(-1-5) = 5÷3

The equation of the line be y = (5÷3)x + c

-4= -(5÷3)+ c

c= -4 + 5÷3

c= -7÷3

y = (5÷3)x  -7÷3

Any one has to be given either the ratio in which the point divides the line joining or the point should be given to find the other one.
