Given - Gravity

Find - Ratio of body weight

Solution - The ratio of body weight on Earth to Jupiter is 0.4

The formula to calculate weight is mass*accelaration due to gravity.

To calculate the ratio of weight -

We/Wj = mge/mgj

In the formula, We is weight on Earth, Wj is weight on Jupiter, m is mass of the body, ge is the acceleration due to gravity on Earth and gj is the acceleration due to gravity on Jupiter.

We/Wj = mge/m2.5ge

We/Wj = 1/2.5

We/Wj = 0.4

So, the ratio of body weight on Earth to Jupiter is 0.4
