Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

λ(H2) : λ(He) = √4 : √3

◆ Explaination -

# Given -

M1 = 2 g/mol

M2 = 2 g/mol

T1 = 27 ℃ = 300 K

T2 = 127 ℃ = 400 K

# Solution -

Ratio of de Broglie wavelength of H2 to He is given by -

λ1 / λ2 = √(M2.T2 / M1.T1)

λ1 / λ2 = √(2×400 / 2×300)

λ1 / λ2 = √(4/3)

Therefore, ratio of de Broglie wavelengths of H2 & He is √4 : √3 .

Thanks for asking..
