find the ratio of magnetic field at distance 5cm and 50cm from a long straight current carrying conductor.

Answer: 10:1

Explanation:

Magnetic field due to long current carrying wire at a distance 'r' from the wire is

B = μ0I/2πr

If r = 5cm

B = μ0I/10π..........(I)

If r = 50 cm

B = μ0I/100π ........ (II)

On dividing (I) by (II)

WE GET RATIO OF 10:1
