For a sphere, surface area is S= 4*Pi*R*R, where R is the radius of thesphere and Pi is 3.1415... The volume of a sphere is V= 4*Pi*R*R*R/3. So for a sphere, the ratio of surface area tovolume is given by: S/V = 3/R.

hlo mate,

To find the ratio of the volume of two spheres, we have to find their volumesfirst. Given that, ratio of the diameter of two spheres is 1:2. So let us assume d1 as 'x' and d2 as '2x'. Now divide (3) by (4), we get 1/8.
