find the ratio of surface area of new cube obtained from the original cube if each side of cube is doubled​

Let the initial side of cube be x

then it's surface area will be 6. x²

= 6x²

now , if it's size is doubled ,

then new size is 2x

so, new surface area will be 6.(2x)²

=6.4x²

=24x²

the ratio of them is 6x² : 24x²

= 1:4
