Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

resistivity ρ_{Al} = 2.65 x 10⁸ Ω m

                ρ_{Cu} = 1.72 x 10⁸ Ω m

Resistance R = ρl/A

                  R/l = ρ/A

Since R/l is same

ρ_{Al}/A_{Al} = ρ_{cu}/A_{cu}

∴ A_{Al}/A_{Cu} = ρ_{Al}_{cu}

\frac{\pi }{4} d^{2}_{Al}/\frac{\pi }{4}d^{2}_{cu} = ρ_{Al}_{cu}

\frac{d_{Al} }{d_{cu} } = \sqrt{\frac{ 2.65 X 10^{8} }{1.72 X 10^{8} } }

    = 1.24
