(a) 6:11

(b) 1:15

(c)2:3

(d)1:1

(e)9:20

(f) 1:20

Explanation:

(a)

66 km to 121 km

= 66:121

= 66/121

= 6/11 [ both the sides dividing by 11]

= 6:11

Hence, the ratio is 6:11

(b)

3 minutes to 45 minutes

= 3:45

= 3/45

= 1/15 [both the sides dividing by 3]

= 1:15

Hence, the ratio is 1:15

(c)

1 hour = 60 minutes

So, 1/2 hour = (60*1/2) minutes

                   = 30 minutes

30 minutes to 45 minutes

= 30:45

= 30/45

= 2/3 [both the sides dividing by 15.]

= 2:3

Hence, the ratio is 2:3.

(d)

We know that,

1 cm = 10 mm

Hence,

10 mm to 10 mm

= 10: 10

= 10/10

= 1/1 [both the sides dividing by 10.]

= 1:1

Hence, the ratio is 1:1.

(e)

We know that,

Rs 1 = 100 paise

Hence,

45 paise to 100 paise

= 45:100

= 45/100

= 9/20 [both the sides dividing by 5.]

= 9:20

Hence, the ratio is 9:20.

(f)

We know that,

1 litre = 1000 ml

∴ 2 litres = (2*1000) ml

               = 2000 ml

Hence,

100 ml to 2000 ml

= 100:2000

= 100/2000

= 1/20 [both the sides dividing by 100.]

= 1:20

Hence, the ratio is 1:20.

* It should be noted that ratio has no unit.
