Answer:

2 : 3

Step-by-step explanation:

To find -----> Ratio of lateral surface area and total surface area of a cube .

Concept used ----> We know that,

Lateral surface area of cube = 4 a²

Total surface area of cube = 6 a²

To find ratio of lateral surface area and total surface area , we divide LSA by TSA .

Solution---->

Required ratio =

 \frac{lateral \: surfaace \: area}{total \: surface \: area}

 =  \frac{4 \:  {a}^{2} }{6 {a}^{2} }

 =  \frac{4}{6}

 =  \frac{2}{3}

So required ratio = 2 : 3

Additional information---->

1) Volume of cube = a³

2) Volume of cuboid = l b h

3) Lateral surface area of cuboid

= 2 ( l + b ) h

4) Total surface area of cuboid

= 2 ( lb + bh + lh )
