Lateral surface area of a cube = 4a²

Total surface area of a cube = 6a²

Ratio of the lateral surface area to total surface area of the cube = 4a²/6a² = 2:3.

For cube ( TSA )

Let one side be a.

Then it has six sides.

So TSA = 6a^2

Similarly CSA or LSA = 4a^2

so ratio = 4a^2/6a^2

= 2:3
