Total surface area of cuboid = lb + bh + hl

= 8x4 + 4x3 + 3x8

= 32 + 12 + 24

= 68 sq. cm

Lateral Surface area of cuboid = 2(l + b) x h

= 2(8 + 4) x 3

= 2x12x3

= 72 sq. cm

Ratio = Total surface area / Lateral surface area

= 68/72

= 17:18
