Price of 1 ball pen = Rs 50.4 / 12
Price of 1 ball pen = Rs 4.2
Ratio of the price of a pencil to that of a ball pen = Price of pencil : price of ball pen
Ratio of the price of a pencil to that of a ball pen = Rs 8 : Rs 4.2
Ratio of the price of a pencil to that of a ball pen 80 / 42 = 40 / 21
Therefore required ratio is 40 / 21.
