Given :  A Quadrilateral

To Find  : Red angle

Solution:

Red angle is 40°

To Find this we need to do some construction

Draw the line   at 60 deg angle so  that Equilateral triangle is formed

Hence 3 sides  will b equal

now  in another triangle  both angles = 30 deg

Hence that side = Equilateral triangle side

Also  Sin 30° = 1/2  = P/H

Hence Larger base = 2 * one side of  Equilateral Triangle

Hence line drawn will meet at the point where angle is 80 deg

now triangle having 80 deg angle is also isosceles triangle

so finally using isosceles triangle we get  angle 70 deg

and Red angle = 40 deg

Ref : the picture showing red angle as green  .

how red / green angle is 40 deg.
