The poet is describing the sorrow of the female sarus crane when the male was killed. She circled the sky in dots and pits as if transmitting her sorrow to the very heavens. She collected few bloodied and broken feathers and desperately trying hatch them into a toddling chick. The waves which she had never seen took her lifeless body with it.
