let side BC be x.

In triangle ABC, using trigonometry -

tan60 = l+m/x = √3 .... equation 1

In triangle EBD -

tan30 = m/x+5 = 1/√3 ... equation 2

dividing equation 1 by equation 2, we get -

(l/m + 1) ( (x+5)/x) = 3

=> l/m = 3x/(x+5) - 1
