find the relation between p and q if x=3 and y =1 is the solution of the pair of equations x-4y+p=0 and 2x+y-q-2=0​

x-4y+p=0-----(1)

Putting x=3 and y=1 in (1)

3-4×1+p=0

3-4+p=0

p=4-3

p=1

Now,

2x+y-q-2=0_______(2)

Putting x=3 and y=1 in (2)

2×3+1-q-2=0

6+1-q-2=0

7-2=q

q=5

So the relationship between p and q is that

q=p+4.
