Eq-> x² + 4x - 12

a = 1, b = 4, c = -12.

=> x² + 4x - 12 = 0

=> x² + 6x - 2x - 12 = 0

=> x(x + 6) -2(x + 6) = 0

=> (x - 2) (x + 6) = 0

=> x = 2 ; x = - 6

=> α = 2, β= -6

1)- α + β = -b/a

α + β = -b/a2 + (-6) = -4/1

α + β = -b/a2 + (-6) = -4/1-4 = -4 .

2)- αβ = c/a

2 × -6 = -12/1

-12 = -12 .

HOPE IT HELPS MAM.
