X+1)X³+1(X²

X³+X²

————

1–X²

Hence the remainder is 1–X²

The given function is

P(x) = x³ + 1 and q(x) = x +1

When P(x) is divided by Q(x) , i.e to obtain the remainder put Q(x)=0

→ x +1=0

→ x = -1

Substitute the value of x in P(x), we get

P(-1) = (-1)³ + 1

       = -1 +1

        = 0

So, Remainder when P(x)=X³+1 is divided  by ,Q(x)= X+1 the remainder is 0.
