ACCORDING TO REMAINDER THEOREM : If a polynomial p(x ) of degree greater than or equal to 1 is divided by
( x - c ) then the remainder is given by p(c) .

So in your case

p(x) = x^4 -3x^2 + 4 when divided by x - 2

Remainder = p(2) = 2^4 - 3(2)^2 + 4 = 16 - 12 + 4 = 8
