g(x)= 0

x+1=0

x=-1

Using Remainder Theorem,

p(x)= 2x³+4x²+5x+2

putting x=-1 in p(x)= 2x³+4x²+5x+2

p(-1)= 2(-1)³+4×(-1)²+5×(-1)+2

-2+4-5+2

-2-5+4+2

-7+6

-1.
