Find the remainder when 4x⁴ +12x³+ 12x²+9 is divided by x+2

x+2 =0

x= -2

put x= -2 in the polynomial

x^4 + 12x³+12x²+9

(-2)^4 + 12×(-2)³+12×(-2)²+9

16 + 12×(-8) + 12×4+9

16-96+48+9 = -96 + 73 = -23

so the remainder is -23
