Find the remainder when f (x) = 4x3 - 12x2+14x - 3 is divided by g(x) = 2x - 1, using remainder theorem

f(1/2)= 4 ( 1/2 )^3 - 12 ( 1/2 )^2 + 14 ( 1/2 )-3

= 4×1/8 - 12 × 1/4 + 14 × 1/2 -3

= 1/2 - 3 + 7 -3

= 1 - 6 + 14 - 6/ 2. ( Taking LCM )

= -11 + 14 /2

= 3/2
