Answer:

  • Remainder of the question is \sf\dfrac{-15}{2}

Given:

  • p(x)=4x^3-12x^2+14x+3.
  • g(x)=2x+1

To Find:

  • remainder of the number =?

Solution:

According to the question,we are said to find remainder so as we know about remainder theorem so use here.

g(x)= 2x +1 = 0

=2x = -1

=x = -1/2

p(x) = 4x^3 - 12x^2 +14x +3

= 4 × (-1/2)^3 - 12 × (-1/2) ^2 + 14 × (-1/2) + 3

= 4 × -1/8 - 12 × 1/4 -7 + 3

= -1/2 - 3 -7 +3

= -1/2 -10 +3

= -21/2 +3

• -15/2
