g(x) = 1-2x
2x = 1
x = 1/2
x³ - 6x² + 14x -3 = (1/2)³ - 6(1/2)² +14x1/2 - 3
= 1/8 - 6/4 + 7 - 3
= 1/8 - 12/8 + 32/8
= 19/8 = 2.375
When you do long division reminder comes 19x³ so 19 (1/2)³ = 19/8 = 2.375
when you do long division -3 + 14x - 6x² + x³ ÷ 1-2x
quotient comes -3 + 8x + 10x² and reminder come 19x³
