First of all we will find the root of g(x).

g(x) =

1 - 2x = 0

that ways x = 1/2.

applying remainder theorem.

The remainder when p(x) is divided by g(x):

p(1/2)

p( \frac{1}{2} ) = {( \frac{1}{2}) }^{3} - 6 { (\frac{1}{2} )}^{2} + 14 (\frac{1}{2} ) - 3

p(1/2) = 21/8
