Answer:
P(x) = 2x³ - 5x² + 3x + 7
g(x) = 2x + 1 = 0
x = -1/2
put the in p(x) .....this method is called remainder method.
p(x) = 2x³ - 5x² + 3x + 7
p(-1/2) = 2(-1/2)³ - 5(-1/2)² + 3(-1/2) + 7
= 2(-1/8) - 5/4 - 3/2 + 7
= -1/4 - 5/4 - 3/2 + 7
= (-1-5-6+28)/4
= 16/4
= 4
thus remainder is 4
