Given Dividend = x²-4 and divisor = x-2

The division goes on here:

x-2)  x² - 0x -4 (-x-2
        -x²+2x
       __________
         0 + 2x - 4
             - 2x + 4
      __________
                  0
      ___________

Therefore, Quotient = - (x+2) and Remainder = 0
