Here is ur ans....

We can find the reminder by remainder theorem.

x+1/2, x = -1/2

p(x) =  {x}^{3} -  1 \\  \\ p(  \frac{ -  1}{2} ) =  { (\frac{ - 1}{2} )}^{3}  - 1 \\  \\ p( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) =  \frac{ - 1}{8}  - 1 \\  \\ p( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) =  \frac{ - 1 - 8}{8}  \\  \\ p( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) =   \frac{ - 9}{8}

So the remainder is -9/8
