find the remainder when x cube + 2 X square + 4 x + 3 is divided by the polynomial X - 1

p(x)=x³+2x²+4x+3,

as
x-1=0,

then

x=1

if p(x) is divided by x-1 then remainder should be equal to p(1),

hence

p(1)=1³+2(1)²+4(1)+3,

=1+2+4+3,

=10
