  • Remainder when x-px+6x is divided by x-p

Solution:-

We are given x-p to be factor of equation so let's find value of x.

» x-p=0

» x=p

Put value of x in the given equation.

» x-px+6x

» (p) -p(p)+6(p)

» p-p²+6p

» 7p-p²

This is the required remainder.
