according to given sum,

by remainder theorem .

x-1/2=0

x=1/2

substitute the value of x in the given polynomial. we get

 {x}^{3} + 3 {x}^{2} + 3x + 1

1/2×1/2×1/2+3×1/2×1/2+3×1/2+1

=1/8+3/4+3/2+1

(1+6+12+8)/8

27/8.
