Given:

Let, p(x) = x³–ax²+6x–a

and g(x) = x–a

To find:

p(x) ÷ g(x)

Solution:

p(x) / g(x) =(x³–ax²+6x–a) / x–a

On Long division

q(x) = x²+6

∴ r(x) = 5a [remainder]
