Answer:

Remainder Theorem- Let p(x) be any polynomial of degree greater than or equal to one and let a be any real number. If p(x) is divided by the linear polynomial x – a, then the remainder is p(a)

y+3=0

y = -3

p(y) = y²-2y+3

p(-3) = (-3)²-2(-3)+3

p(-3) = 9+6+3

        =18

The remainder when y² – 2y + 3 is divided by y + 3 is 18
