Answer:

25(π-1) cm² or 53.5 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, diameter of circle is 10 cm. Hence its radius(r) would become 10/2 = 5 cm.

Therefore, its area is π(5)²      (∵ area = π(r)²)

=25π cm².

Given base length(b) of the inscribed triangle is 5 cm and its height(h) is 10 cm.

Therefore its area is 1/2 *10*5   ( area = 1/2 x b x h)

= 25 cm²

Remaining area(Δ) can be found by subtracting area of triangle from area of circle.

i.e Δ=25π -25

⇒Δ=25(π-1) cm²

π≈3.14

⇒Δ=25(3.14-1)

⇒Δ=25(2.14)

∴Δ=53.5 cm²
