= 2 × 16 + (-8) - 14 × 4 + 38 - 6

f(-1) = 2 × (-1)^4 + (-1)^3 - 14 × (-1)^2 - 19 × (-1) - 6

= 2 × 1 + (-1) - 14 × 1 + 19 -6

= 2 - 1 - 14 + 19 - 6

= 21 - 21

= 0
