Find the reminder when the polynomials f(x) = x³-3x²+4x+50 is divided by (x+3)

Solution -

x+3 = 0 => x-3.

By the reminder theorem, we know that when f(x) is divided by (x+3) the reminder is f(-3).

Now, f(-3)= [(-3)²-3×(-3)²+4×(-3)+50]

(-27-27-12+50)=-16

Hence the required reminder is -16
