Find the reminders when y3+y2-2y+5 is divided by y-5

By using remainder theorem -

y - 5 = 0

y = 5

Substituting the value in expression :-

\rm y^3 - y^2 - 2y + 5

\rm = 5^3 - 5^2 - 2 ( 5 ) + 5

\rm = 125 - 25 - 10 + 5

\rm = 95

Remainder = 95
