∴ Required length of the scale is H.C.F of 300cm,510cm,90cm

300=2×2×3××5×5

510=2×3×5×17

90=2×3×3×5

HCF of the numbers = 2×3×5

= 30

The greatest possible length of a scale that can be used is 30cm
